Daphne Uviller

Articles and Essays

Daphne has published nearly two hundred book, theater, and film reviews in Time Out New York, Newsday, and The Washington Post.  She has written about kosher sex for The New York Times and about motorcycles inside the Guggenheim for New York.  She has written essays for Allure and Self, for which she was an ethics columnist.

She has also penned dozens of author profiles, which are among her favorite assignments because nosiness is cloaked as “interviewing.”  She has butted into the lives and writing processes of venerable scribes such as Nadine Gordimer, Wallace Shawn, Jhumpa Lahiri, James McBride, Sarah Vowell, and Elizabeth Gilbert.
